It's comparable in size to a small cellphone and it's even shorter and thinner than an iPhone. The outside of the Flip is made of a polished plastic shell and it is very easy to hold and use.
The controls on the Flip were designed with the common person in mind. Shooting video is truly a point and shoot affair. Press the red button and the camera starts recording. Press it again, and the recording stops. The Flip Mino HD comes with a 1.5 inch LCD to help you see what you are shooting.
The video quality of the Flip Mino is excellent. You can store up to 1 hour of high definition video at 1280 x 720 resolution. The camera uses a lithium ion battery and gives you about 4 hours of recording time and you can charge the Mino by plugging it in to your computer's usb drive.
The included FlipShare program does a decent job for what it's designed to do. I am a Mac user and I appreciate that the program works for both Macs and PCs. Once your movies are on your computer, you can edit individual clips and then publish them directly onto sites like Youtube.
