The Flip Mino is known for its very small form factor. In fact, it's known as the smallest HD video camera in the world. It's comparable in size to a small cellphone and it's even shorter and thinner than an iPhone. The outside of the Flip is made of a polished plastic shell and it is very easy to hold and use.

The controls on the Flip were designed with the common person in mind. Shooting video is truly a point and shoot affair. Press the red button and the camera starts recording. Press it again, and the recording stops. The Flip Mino HD comes with a 1.5 inch LCD to help you see what you are shooting.

The video quality of the Flip Mino is excellent. You can store up to 1 hour of high definition video at 1280 x 720 resolution. The camera uses a lithium ion battery and gives you about 4 hours of recording time and you can charge the Mino by plugging it in to your computer's usb drive.

The included FlipShare program does a decent job for what it's designed to do. I am a Mac user and I appreciate that the program works for both Macs and PCs. To transfer videos to your computer, you just use the signature Flip USB connector and plug the Mino HD directly into your usb port. Once your movies are on your computer, you can edit individual clips and then publish them directly onto sites like Youtube.

All in all, I am very satisfied with my Flip Mino HD. I just took it on my last trip and I took some great videos which I then posted onto my Myspace account. If you are in the market for a budget video camera that any of your family members can use, you should definitely check out the Flip Mino HD. You can find it online for just over $200.
